Patric Gagne is a writer, therapist, and advocate for individuals suffering from sociopathic personality disorder. She holds a PhD in clinical psychology. Her dissertation examined the relationship between sociopaths and their reactions to anxiety. This research became the groundwork for her continued studies on sociopathic disorder, as well as the foundation for her memoir. When she is not working with patients or running after her small children, Patric volunteers as a grief counselor specializing in violent crime. Today she is working to expand the definition of sociopathy to include its status as a spectrum disorder. She serves on the advisory board of Psychopathy IS and runs a website dedicated to educating the public about sociopathy through life tips, treatment options, and question/answer forums. She lives with her family in Florida.
