Death Note
Death Note is a Japanese manga series written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The story follows Light Yagami, a genius high school student who discovers a mysterious notebook: the 'Death Note'. The notebook belonged to the demon Ryuk, and grants the user the supernatural ability to kill anyone who's name appears in its pages. Light attempts to create a crime-free society by writing down the names of individuals he deems immoral, and his efforts are soon apprehended by an elite Japanese police task force and detective L.
