Amanda O'Neill has worked in education since 1976 and has been a freelance writer and editor since 1986. She has written books on a wide range of subjects and wrote both I Wonder Why Spiders Spin Webs, and Cats.Gareth Lucas is an illustrator and designer from Essex, England. After studying at Brighton and Central Saint Martin's Art Schools, he has worked on a variety of children's books centred around the natural world. In 2016, he was the winner of the Sainsbury’s Childrens Book Awards for Peekaboo A to Z. He is the illustrator of I Wonder Why The Sea Is Salty and I Wonder Why Camels Have Humps.
