Though certain she has been given this inglorious and difficult task because Lord Wyldon continues to deny she is equal to her male peers, Kel is learning the importance of caring for people who havebeen robbed of their homes, of self-respect and of safety. Perhaps this is the most important battleground in the war? But when Kel discovers truths behind the monstrous killing devices that her friends are fighting without her, will she honour her sworn duty . . . or embark on a quest that could turn the tide of the war? In a landmark quartet published years before it’s time, Kel must prove herself twice as good as her male peers just to be thought equal. Tamora Pierce is the New York Times bestselling author of the The Song of the Lioness series, The Numair Chronicles, The Immortals series and The Protector of the Small quartet. Pierce was born in South Connellsville, Pennsylvania and her parents were originally going to call her ‘Tamara’, but the nurse who filled out her birth certificate had never heard of that name before and accidentally misspelled it. A passionate reader from an early age, devouring encyclopaedias, Dr Seuss books and J.R.R. Tolkien, writing helped Pierce get through her parents’ divorce. In her junior year at college, she sold her first story and went on to publish The Song of the Lioness in 1983: changing the landscape of fantasy fiction forever. An award-winning, multiple New York Times bestselling author whose books have been published all over the world, Pierce lives in New York with her husband.

“Haar man is verslaaf aan homself.”

"Big Dreams, Big Travel" is an consistently exciting adventure that immediately draws you into a mysterious dream world. Wim Balmer writes clearly, directly, and without unnecessary length – you practically fly through the pages. Jay's journey between dream and reality is intense, surprising, and makes you eager to keep reading.
A great fantasy book for young readers who want to dive straight into the adventure. Entertaining, dreamy, and absolutely recommended.
Extremely helpful - hundreds of topics covered.
2 Examples:
- Consider everything already broken.
Everything breaks, even rocks eventually become sand. So don't stress about it when somethings breaks! You knew it was going to happen!
- Beware of the mushroom effect of your thoughts. (She probably thinks this now. She's probably telling everybody. Now, this person will... etc)
