Picture storybooks
I challenge you to find a sillier story than this picture book by Matty Long. [...] You only realise quite how boring most books for the very young are when you come across one that breaks the mould - or, I should say, the ice., Praise for Matty Long's Super Happy Magic Forest series:
This is a delightful picture book with a lot of action taking place on each page ... It's a joy to read., Irreverent fantasy romp., I'm not sure who will get more enjoyment out of this one - the 'toddlers' billed as its target audience or those older readers/adults who are the book's mediators to the very young., Super is an explosion of ideas and colour all held together by a love of the fantasy genre.
Matty Long is an award-winning author and illustrator. He holds a first-class degree in Illustration and a Master's in Children's Book Illustration from the prestigious Cambridge School of Art. His debut picture book Super Happy Magic Forest was shortlisted for the prestigious Waterstone's Children's Prize.
