Her qualifications include a teacher's diploma, a Masters degree in Psychology (University of Cape Town), and a Ph.D in the field of community psychology (University of Cape Town).Peliwe Lolwana obtained her Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (USA) and is currently a visiting professor at the University of Witwatersrand and a former Chief Executive Officer of UMALUSI - the Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training in South Africa.
