'I was excited and impressed by the range and depth of the stimulus material in this book.' ATESOL Journal, April, 1997, 'One of the effects of reading a book like this, with ideas from so many sources, is that it will probably inspire teachers to be creative themselves. For this and the content it is worth buying.' VATME Newsletter, 1997, 'The activities themselves are stimulating, challenging, fun, and advanced to very advanced indeed.' Modern English Teacher, 1997, 'It is a delightful resource, well-planned and executed, with a sufficient and challenging variety of tasks.' ATESOL Journal, April, 1997, 'Whereas many skills books focus on grammatical items as the building blocks of composition, Grellet has a more holistic focus on the characteristics of the style itself, which is a refreshing change … This makes Writing for Advanced Learners a compendium of ideas precisely what a sourcebook should be.' EL Gazette, 1996
