THE AUTHORSThe Berlut Maths Grades 4–6 series brings together the expertise of leading mathematics educators to create a powerful and cohesive learning journey from Foundation Phase to Intermediate Phase. The series is authored by Penny O’Toole and Sally Goldman, founders of the well-established Maths Fundi brand. With over 60 years of combined teaching experience in the classroom, they have successfully implemented their approach in numerous schools and are deeply passionate about transforming how children learn Mathematics.Their strong understanding of how learners develop mathematically has resulted in resources that are accessible, engaging and effective for learners of all abilities.Strengthening this foundation is the involvement of Reinette Lombard, co-creator of the acclaimed Tippie reading series and the Tippie Does Maths series for Grade R–3 learners and teachers. In close collaboration with Sally and Penny, Reinette played a key role in shaping the Berlut Maths Grades 4–6 series. Sally and Penny developed the mathematical content, while Reinette conceptualised and structured the layout and directed the image selection and placement, establishing the series’ cohesive visual identity.
