Contemporary Issues in Business Ethics

This collected volume of essays represents the work of scholars from DePaul University who have served a term as the Wicklander Chair in Business Ethics. These essays, which represent written versions of public lectures, focus on a wide range of issues that have bothered and continue to plague ethicists, legal scholars, and practicing managers in business. These issues include the role of self-interest in commerce, moral character, evil and complacency, privacy, spirituality in the workplace, truth-telling, globalization challenges, and the function of narrative.

Keith W. Krasemann is Professor of Philosophy and Religious Studies and Director of the Regional Center for Asian Studies Development Programs at the College of DuPage. He currently has three books in print: Business Ethics: Problems, Principles, Practical Applications, Quest for Goodness: An Introduction to Ethics, and Questions for the Soul: An Introduction to Philosophy. Patricia H. Werhane holds the Wicklander Chair of Business Ethics at DePaul University and is Executive Director of the Institute for Business and Professional Ethics at DePaul University with a joint appointment as the Ruffin Professor of Business Ethics at the Darden School, University of Virginia. An accomplished author, teacher, and researcher, Dr. Werhane's most recently co-authored Employment and Employee Rights.
