CBT as an Integrative Psychotherapy

CBT as an Integrative Psychotherapy explores the current key themes, approaches, and interventions in psychotherapy. Developed and based on a dialogue between trainee psychotherapists, colleagues, collaborators, and scholars, this book integrates theoretical and technical aspects of psychological interventions. Chapters link theory and practice and provide philosophical insights in an accessible and discursive manner. The authors conduct a thoughtful analysis of psychotherapy and cover several topics including conflict, acceptance, self-esteem, and pseudo psychology. This book is discursive in nature and essential reading for novice and more experienced therapists. The integrative approach used throughout will allow trainees and practitioners to discover a coherent theoretical and practical framework for helping a diverse range of clients.

"This book, authored by expert clinicians and teachers of psychotherapy in Italy and the UK, provides the theoretical basis and description of Integrative Psychotherapy. The treatment is distinguished from the other eclectic and pluralistic approaches, as it is based on a robust cognitive psychotherapy model. The book will be invaluable both for trainee and experienced clinicians who wish to learn an innovative psychological treatment with an origianl cross-cultural perspective"Riccardo Dalle Grave, MD. Director of the Department of Eating and Weight Disorders, Villa Garda Hospital Italy. Editor of the official Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT-E) website."The authors provide an important contribution to the field of integrative psychotherapy as well as drawing inspiration from philosophies such as Stoicism. Their integrative approach will allow students and experienced practitioners alike to discover a coherent theoretical and practical framework for helping a diverse range of clients"Donald Robertson, author of The Philosophy of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and How to Think Like a Roman Emperor."This text stems from the fruitful collaboration among psychotherapists and researchers and offers relevant insights to both trainee and experienced psychotherapists. Their aim is to illustrate some of the most meaningful aspects of cognitive-behavioural therapy in an integrated perspective."Francesco Mancini, Director of the Clinical Doctorate APC (Rome, Verona, Lecce) & Lecturer in Clinical Psychology"CBT as an Integrative Psychotherapy is a resource born from the collaborative dialogue between colleagues, students and researchers. The authors aim to integrate different aspects of psychotherapeutic interventions in a deliberately colloquial and accessible way, and to proivde an integrated perspective of multiple aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with several other psychotherapeutic evidence-based treatments"Emanuele Rossi, PhD, Scuole di Specializzazione in Psicoterapia Cognitiva, Società Italiana di Terapia Comportamentale e Cognitiva.
