      Mohammad Najafi, PhD, is an associate professor of civil engineering and director of the Center for Underground Infrastructure Research & Education (CUIRE) at the University of Texas at Arlington. Najafi is the founder and editor-in-chief emeritus of the ASCE's Journal of Pipeline Systems Engineering and Practice. He published widely on the subjects of pipelines and underground infrastructure systems.Sanjiv Gokhale, PhD, P.E., is a professor of civil engineering and director of the Construction Management Graduate Program in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He also holds the title of global professor of civil engineering from New York University Abu Dhabi, (NYUAD) Arab Emirates. He is the recipient of numerous academic awards, including the Distinguished Professor Award, Construction Industry Institute (CII), University of Texas at Austin (2009); the Excellence in Teaching Award, School of Engineering, Vanderbilt University (2005); and Tau Beta Pi's Teacher of the Year, Vanderbilt University (2004). Gokhale was elected fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers in 2009.
