We humbly request your attendance at The Auction of Secrets. 1795. Five years has passed since Genevieve de Vienne fled the falling blade of the French Revolution. Yet still she is haunted by the past.Until she receives a seemingly impossible invitation to an auction at a grand chateau, where secrets are for the bidding and the prize is your heart’s desire. High in the Alps, Château Rêverie clings to its mountaintop, beautiful and merciless. Alongside other competitors, Genevieve is offered a chance to stay as long as she can, and to sell her secrets at the final hour in order to win her greatest wish. But there can only be one winner, and the longer Genevieve remains, the more she must reveal. Leander Sterne does not remember his past. When his own invitation to the auction arrives, he does not have any secrets to bid with – but his greatest desire is worth risking everything for. And he has nothing to lose. As the château’s enchantments grow more intoxicating and more cruel, Genevieve and Leander must decide what they are willing to surrender. In a place where honesty is currency and illusion is power, winning may cost them everything…

Natasha Siegel is a writer of historical fiction, fantasy, and romance. She was born and raised in London, where she grew up in a Danish-Jewish family surrounded by stories. She studied English and History at the University of York, and she has an MA in Early Modern Studies from University College London, where her research specialised in Anglo-Jewish, and colonial history in the 17th century. Her studies inspired a passion for historical narratives and folklore: her novels interweave magic and real-world settings to tell stories about queer, Jewish, and otherwise marginalised characters throughout history. She has a particular fondness for Early Modern tragedy and romance, which have informed much of her work, including her first fantasy novel, As Many Souls as Stars: a sapphic historical fantasy inspired by the Faustus legend. She lives in North-West London with her partner and spends her spare time chasing after the family dog, a rescue lurcher named Cleo.
