Claire Balkind is a History Teacher and has worked in education since 2007. In March 2020, she set up the Facebook group 'Family Lockdown Tips & Ideas' which has an online community of over a million members worldwide. In June 2020, she was awarded the Prime Minister's Points of Light award, which recognizes outstanding UK volunteers making a change in their community, for her work with the group. Claire can also be found online as The What Now Mum. She lives in North London with her two daughters, husband and cat, Milo.
