The Kruger National Park's proud history of nurturing biodiversity is deeply interwoven with a rich legacy of cultural diversity stretching back more than a million years. In years gone by, early hunter-gatherers, traders, explorers and farmers passed through the area, encountering similar wildlife and vegetation to that which tourists treasure today. At least 147 mammals species, 507 birds, 336 trees, 114 reptiles, 49 fish, and 39 amphibians have been recorded in Kruger, which is about 20 000sqm km - the size of Wales. This collection of detailed maps is divided into colour-coded Ecozones to make it easier for you to find the many interesting plants and animals as you travel through the Park. The maps also have information on visitor facilities, distances and spotting hints to make your stay in the Park as pleasurable as possible. The Kruger Map is also a species guide, and features species identification, tick lists and maps of the camps.
