Brenda Jones has spent years roaming the woods and fields across Canada, gathering and studying the herbs that live here in order to better understand the properties of these amazing plants. With a background as an artist and illustrator, she began painting each herb in detail to help with identification, and eventually published her first herb book, Medicinal Herbs of Eastern Canada. She has since published the Western Canada version, and has now updated and added to her research to create a book that includes all of Canada. Meanwhile she continues to expand her own backyard herb garden, filling her cupboards with her own tinctures, oils, and herbal teas.
