American Vampire Book Two

Scott Snyder and Rafael Albuquerque s Eisner Award-winning chronicle of their uniquely original vampire history continues in this second massive collection of their DC Vertigo series! American Vampire debuted in 2010, as then-budding superstars Scott Snyder and Rafael Albuquerque teamed up to introduce readers to a new breed of vampire, telling their story over multiple decades of American history. This second, nearly 400-page volume collecting the acclaimed series stars Pearl and her husband Henry as he is recruited by a mysterious group of vampire hunters to World War II Japan to find a new breed of blood sucker. But what does the notorious vampire Skinner Sweet have to do with it? Later, the action moves to the early 1800s, as Snyder is joined by legendary artist Jordi Bernet for a story detailing Skinner Sweet s origins. Plus, Snyder teams with Sean Murphy of the bestselling Batman: White Knight for companion series American Vampire: Survival of the Fittest, a companion series featuring secret organization Vassals of the Morningstar, also included in this collection. This volume collects American Vampire #13 25 and American Vampire: Survival of the Fittest #1 5.

Scott Snyder has written comics for both DC and Marvel, including the Eisner Award-winning series American Vampire and acclaimed runs on iconic characters Batman, Swamp Thing, and more. Wytches, a series created by Snyder and superstar artist Jock, is in development as an animated series at Amazon Prime. In 2024, Snyder returned to DC to reinvent the Dark Knight in the bestselling series Absolute Batman. He lives on Long Island with his wife, Jeanie, and his sons, Jack and Emmett.
