Neoforest Vol.1: Cocto Citadel

In the distant future, after our world collapsed, new civilisations have emerged, built along neo-feudal structures. In what used to be France, on the edge of an immense forest, stands Cocto Citadel, a fortress-factory ruled over by a lord made almost immortal by advanced technology. But now his daughter, Blanche, finds herself at the heart of a despicable plot - and that as nature itself is showing signs of rebelling against the humans, who seem ready to make the same mistakes as their ancestors.

Fred Duval turned to writing bandes dessinées scripts after studying history, and has penned many long-running, successful series such as Carmen McCallum, Travis, Hauteville House and Jour J. He contributed an album to the XIII Mystery series, published by Cinebook. While he started in advertising, Philippe Scoffoni came to comics later in life; he has several series under his belt, mostly science-fiction (Exo, Milo, Carthago), and contributed to the prestigious sci-fi comic magazine Métal Hurlant.
