Scales of Flame

Fans of enemies-to-lovers romance and epic dragon-filled fantasy will be swept into Le Fay's Scales of Flame, where fractured loyalties, awakening power, and a love tested by destiny blaze at the heart of a realm on the brink of ruin. The gods gave me a command. The world gave me a war. Jaeda is no longer waiting for war--it's drowning in it. Volaach's corruption spreads like a plague, swallowing kingdoms, shattering armies, and staining the land with Darkness. Not even Drakh's strength can halt the Volaachi advance. And I, bound to Vaya'la, the Great Dragon of Life, will not be enough to stop it. Under High Dane Auldren's command, Eldreth and I journey the Old Road to summon the clan leaders to Rihtlond's heart for our wedding--a symbol of unity, a spark of hope. A smoke screen. A deception designed to gather the Great Council and bring the Riht to war. But while rulers scheme and alliances tremble, a greater threat unfolds. Darkness bleeds from the Dream Realm, warping the world itself. At Vaya'la and Tin'nen's behest, Bale and I are charged with an impossible command: seek the Great Doors between realms--and close them. No matter the sacrifice. Caught between love and destiny, survival and duty, I must choose what I am willing to lose. Because saving Jaeda may demand more than my life. It may demand my heart.

Meghan Le Fay hails from present-day Earth, despite her lifelong dream of being born as an elf in Middle-earth. A constant and consummate fan of fantasy, she lives, breathes, and dreams in the spidery language of the magic. Her works are inspired by her obsessions with mythology, medieval history, and all things magical and mystical--especially dragons. When not writing or daydreaming of other realms, Meghan can be found avoiding the Arizona desert heat through reading, crafting, music, or dance. Or having wild adventures (both real and imaginary) with her family.
