This volume offers a multifaceted examination of “inspiration” in early Christianity and religious-philodophical traditions from the antiquity to our days. Drawing on diverse sources and methodologies, it illuminates how authors and readers get inspired, authoritative texts emerge, are interpreted, and remain embedded in contemporary discussions. It advocates a close integration of historical dynamics and a sustained dialogue with other intellectual and religious traditions.
