Jamie Conway is an up-and-coming poet and writer from Cape Town, South Africa, with a Master's degree in English Literature from the University of the Western Cape. Conway's poetry explores the intricacies of the human condition and the essence of existence through a free verse style that experiments with structure and rhythm. She is interested in contemporary poetry that allows poets to express their individuality, making each story unique. Her writing is often thought-provoking and philosophical while aiming to be relatable to readers. Jamie believes that the world is growing increasingly numb, and the ability to truly feel something down to your bones is rare. She simply wants to make people feel - whether that's one person or a million - because that’s how we begin to heal as humans. Jamie began writing at a young age as an outlet for self-expression. Her early journaling gave her strength, power, and peace amongst chaos. Those scribbles evolved into poetry and prose that shaped Jamie into the writer she is today.
