On Being a Servant of God
Sometimes people lose sight of the core of their ministry. They feel overwhelmed by the needs that surround them on a daily basis. Wise and beloved pastor Warren Wiersbe invites ministry leaders to listen in on thirty short "armchair chats" to encourage and strengthen them for service. He shares what he wishes he had known about ministering to others when he began his own Christian pilgrimage. "Ministry," he says, "takes place when divine resources meet human needs through loving channels to the glory of God." With this new edition of a classic book, which includes a foreword by Jim Cymbala, the next generation of ministry leaders can take advantage of Wiersbe's years of wisdom.

Israel, Servant of God
The question addressed by the book is posed in the Introduction: what is the significance of the existence of the Jewish people for Christian faith? It is only since the end of the World War II that attempts have been made to answer this question in a manner sympathetic to the Jewish people. Michel Remaud's book consists of three parts: "The Faithfulness of Israel", "On the Shoah" and "Facing Israel". The first part includes a re-thinking of Isaiah chapter 53 on the Suffering Servant; in order to reconcile the classical Jewish and Christian interpretations of this passage, the author refers to chapters 9-11 of Paul's Epistle to the Romans.;"On the Shoah" deals with the difficulties of speech on the subject and describes in a circumspect manner the nature of the Christian responsibility for the Shoah. The third part concerns current Christian teaching on themes linked to Judaism and suggests positive ways in which the two faiths may be shown to be linked. This is done without falling into syncretism or diminishing the special natures of each faith. An appendix describes the significance and difficulties concerning the recognition of the State of Israel by the Holy See.

Servant of God in John
The topic of this book is to scholars what Uranus was to Scientists before 1781. The ignorance of astrologers about the existence of Uranus before 1781 does not negate the factuality of its being. This is similar in the case of the Servant of God in John. His predicates are there, although the title is missing. Scholars and epochs have witnessed researches and contributions in the Gospel of John. Many see aspects of the Servant of God in John. But just as Uranus could not be seen but its existence was proven because of its effects on the orbits of the other planets, so the Servant of God of the Fourth Gospel could not be seen as a title but its effects on the other christological titles of the gospel indicate its reality in the gospel. The author’s approach is purely exegetico-theological.

Form of God, Form of a Servant
Form of God, Form of a Servant examines the Greek noun morphe and seeks to discover Paul's meaning when he portrayed Christ as existing in the "form of God" as well as taking on the "form of a servant" in Philippians 2:6-7. This book adopts a synchronic approach to lexical semantics, and examines a cross section of Greek writers who use morphe from the classical period up through the first century A.D. The book also looks at how morphe has been interpreted throughout the church age, before exegetically examining the passage and interpreting the term in its context.
