Magical - Create and Colour

Create & Colour Stories: Magical is an activity book to boost your young child's early reading, writing and pen control skills in a fun way.  

A simple 'fill-in-the-gap' writing book, with fun colouring, Create & Colour Stories: Magical encourages your child to use their imagination and improve their writing skills.

Inside the book, your child will find three animal-inspired stories, and each story can be approached in three ways, depending on your child's age, learning stage, or even just how they're feeling that day.

1. Colouring: Each of the book's stories has colour-in pages for sneaky laid-back development – colouring improves fine motor skills and pen control, prompts decision making (which colour?), and is wonderfully calm in its repetitive movements. Plus colouring works for all ages and stages. AND it's fun!
2. Sentence-starting prompts: Even the brightest sparks can find it tricky to come up with a story when they need to write it down. Young children often need prompts, be it an image or some key words. Throughout the book, Create & Colour Stories: Magical gives sentences that your child needs to finish, in whichever way their imagination takes them – such as 'In a faraway forest lived a little unicorn. Her horn crackled and…". And don't forget, first time round they can just chat about their ideas, until they feel confident enough to write something down.
3. Mini activity or question: Simple prompts throughout the book give your child a little extra to do or think about. Such as 'What other adjectives can you use instead of shy to describe Sparkle?'.
