Animal Magic

Phil Allcock was born in Derby and has lived in Devon, Buckinghamshire and Hampshire. He now lives in Cheshire with his wife, Jan, their two children and a mad dog called Chester. Phil has a degree in Biology and spent some years in research before turning to writing. As a freelance copywriter, he has worked for companies of all sizes, from small businesses through to multinationals such as ExxonMobil and BT. On the creative side, Phil has had many children's stories transmitted on both TV and radio. His first published work was a fantasy trilogy for young adults. His first picture book, 'Cantankerous King Colin', was published by Maverick (and read on TV by actor Tom Hollander). Since then, 'Animal Magic', a board book for toddlers, has also been published by Maverick. Another picture book, 'Clumpety Bump' was published in 2017. In 2018, 'The Will of Dargan', the first book in Phil's fantasy trilogy was published electronically on Amazon. The other two books have now also been published and the whole trilogy is now also available in paperback format. When not writing, Phil enjoys reading, blues music, playing guitar and photography.
