THE AUTHORRoslynne Toerien is a proudly South African mother, writer, speaker, and philanthropist residing in Durban, KZN. She holds a Bachelor of Education, specialising in the Foundation Phase.With a deep passion for education and the arts, Roslynne is the CEO and founder of the NGO The LEARN Project (Let’s Educate A Rainbow Nation), a South African non-profit trust dedicated to equipping disadvantaged schools with libraries and book corners.She has been a guest speaker at numerous schools and events and was awarded the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow Award by the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. Roslynne lives by the motto “Small actions lead to big change,” a philosophy reflected in her work promoting literacy and learning through books and educational play.THE ILLUSTRATORRachel Grace Nyman is a Fine Arts student at the University of Pretoria. Born and raised in Durban, South Africa, she is the eldest of six siblings and was homeschooled for much of her childhood, which allowed her creativity and love for illustration to flourish.Rachel completed her schooling at Our Lady of Fatima, where she was inspired by strong artistic mentorship. She has spent extensive time in under-resourced communities, developing a deep compassion for people and a desire to use creativity as a tool for hope and change.In 2023, Rachel matriculated receiving the Gail Baxter Trophy (Top Art Student) and jointly receiving the Humanitarian of the Year Award.
