A wild ride. I couldn't put it down. I never would have predicted how this would end. I wish I had the sequel already as I'm itching to know what happens next.
Friendly, kind and interesting animal antics interwoven in memorable stories
What a fun book to read! I read the Afrikaans version, but I know there is an English version too.
The four sweet stories weave in characters throughout that we grow to love. The stories are not 'preachy' or predictable. Instead, they are sweet and kind and fun. As we follow the beautifully descriptive details strewn before our feet, we find ourselves in the African landscape, under trees or on rocks, witnessing friends trying to help one another.
The watercolor illustrations complement the stories in their humor while simply embellishing the setting for each story.
If I was an animal, I would want to live with this particular group of friends. A lovely community experiencing life together in their little neck of Africa. I can't wait for the next book!
