IAN BROUDIE originally emerged from the post-punk Liverpool music scene of the late '70s, playing in the band Big in Japan. Before the band ended, they created the indie label Zoo Records, which in turn led to Ian producing for an array of high-profile bands (sometimes credited with the pseudonym 'Kingbird').Releasing his first record under the name 'Lightning Seeds' - the imaginary group he had envisioned when he wrote his songs in the hope it would become a reality - Ian went on to find considerable success as the band's frontman, culminating in the history-making 'Three Lions'.Ian's studio is now located in Liverpool and he continues to write, record and produce material for the Lightning Seeds and as a soloist.
