Chris Bertish was the first South African to brave the monster waves of Mavericks, winning the Mavericks Big Wave Invitational surfing event in the biggest and heaviest waves ever recorded in the history of the sport. In Stoked! (2016) Chris shared how he pulled off death-defying antics time and again, overcame overwhelming obstacles, and manoeuvred around many random twists of fate to achieve his goals and live by the mantra: Dream it, see it, believe it, Achieve it.
