The last novel in the series was marred by quirky fonts and obscure online shenaningans which slowed up the narrative. This one is splendid. Topical too. Robin goes undercover in a sect which treats women like brood mares. On a good day. Plenty of action. Characters to detest or to admire. Packed with i sights into where we've ended up.

Robert Galbraith is a pseudonym for J.K. Rowling, bestselling author of the Harry Potter series and The Casual Vacancy. All six Strike novels, The Cuckoo's Calling, The Silkworm, Career of Evil, Lethal White, Troubled Blood and The Ink Black Heart topped the national and international bestseller lists and the series has been adapted for television, produced by Brontë Film and Television.
