Athol Fugard

Athol Fugard was a South African dramatist, actor, director and playwright, known for his penetrating and pessimistic analyses of South African society during Apartheid. Fugard was a fearless storyteller with over 30 plays to his name throughout his 70-year career. His celebrated works include Boesman and Lena, Tsotsi and The Blood Knot.
