A mermaid, a firebird, and a witch fight to save the magic of their world before it ceases to exist in this epic conclusion to acclaimed author Vivian Zhou's fantasy duology. Perfect for fans of Tidesong and Wingbearer! Atana may be one step closer to discovering her past, but it didn't come without a cost. Though the mermaid and her companions--Ren, the last known firebird, and Cosmos, her witch guard-turned-friend--narrowly escaped the Witch Queen, time is running short. They may have foiled the Queen's plans to use Ren to revive their world's broken magic cycle, but Ren is still growing weaker by the minute...Atana and Cosmos are determined to help their friend recover, but Ren's priorities are elsewhere. After discovering that the firebirds of old are responsible for destroying the flow of magic for all beings, she is determined to right her people's wrongs. When Atana resolves to join this quest, her past--lurking deep below the seas--threatens to destroy not only their friendship but also their very chance at restoring the balance of magic itself. After a lifetime of dreaming of finding a home below the water, is Atana willing to leave behind everything she's fought for on land?

A very practical approach and the tools to go along with it

Very useful. The book provides a structure and an approach that I would have been useful earlier in my investing. I like the five gates and in particular the attention to quality and management's capital allocation decisions. I will also apply the idea of the stewardship log to get more explicit on my investment theses. This is kind of the practical aspect of what I learned from the Psychology of Money.

the title ties in really nicley the more towards the end but the title for the book suits it real...

the book is very slow burn and takes a while for like captivating parts of the book .but the middle to the end the pace of the book is really nice the beginning is just repetitive and and trust the processes
