Somewhere in the deep and frozen north is an island surrounded entirely by ice. The inhabitants love their snowstorm isle-with its scattered wooden cottages, its small patches of forest, and its single mountain peak. Most of all they love the magnificent ice bears that roam the streets, giving the island its name-The Isle of Bears. Life with bears is dangerous, as Marv Jackson knows-the large crescent moon shaped scar on his face acts as a constant reminder of the night he survived a bear attack. But something tells him the legendary tale of that night, isn't quite the full story, and that the truth lies with a mysterious skating girl and her magnificent polar bear.

Praise for The Ice Bear Miracle: This tale is wintry but tender and warming, full of soft fur and firelight and hot chocolate, and emotional bonds between children and bears, family members, and in close communities. With protagonists of colour, and written in rhythmical prose that builds to an operatic finish and a hint of romance, it is a heartfelt story to snuggle into., Praise for The Girl with the Shark's Teeth: Perfect bathtime reading for wannabe mermaids! Cerrie Burnell's lyrical, dreamy writing is like a love song to the sea in this voyage of adventure and self-discovery. The call of the deep will lure you into a richly-imagined world., The Girls with the Shark's Teeth glitters with fairytale magic: maps made of moonlight, pirate-hook mothers whose gaze can 'knock eagles from the sky' and fierce young gatekeepers shaking up seas. Wild and wonderful storytelling from one of the loveliest authors in the business., Burnell makes her middle-grade debut with a vividly imagined magical adventure starring a 12-year-old girl with an irresistible pull to the water., The lyrical, breathless prose and relentless onslaught of new characters and images - each more bizarre and wonderful than the last - make this a cross between China Miéville and Liz Kessler.

Cerrie Burnell is one of the UK's best-known children's TV presenters and has in recent years made a name for herself as one of the most exciting new children's authors on the scene. Her picture book Snowflakes was performed at the Oxford Playhouse to great acclaim in 2016 and Harper, her fiction series, has been set to music by the Liverpool Philarmonic Orchestra. The Ice Bear Miracle is the follow up to her stunning debut for middle grade readers,The Girl with the Shark's Teeth.

A very practical approach and the tools to go along with it

Very useful. The book provides a structure and an approach that I would have been useful earlier in my investing. I like the five gates and in particular the attention to quality and management's capital allocation decisions. I will also apply the idea of the stewardship log to get more explicit on my investment theses. This is kind of the practical aspect of what I learned from the Psychology of Money.

the title ties in really nicley the more towards the end but the title for the book suits it real...

the book is very slow burn and takes a while for like captivating parts of the book .but the middle to the end the pace of the book is really nice the beginning is just repetitive and and trust the processes
