Sy woon tans in Klerksdorp saam met haar man, Walter, en hulle hondekinders.As a reader, writer, and editor, An-Mari do Carmo’s entire life revolves around books – and an unhealthy amount of coffee. She is also very fond of animals, feels strongly about her faith, and as a late-diagnosed autistic and ADHD woman, she is somewhat obsessive about neurodiversity. Her debut youth story, Toe als groen was (2022), based on her childhood growing up in a cult, was awarded the Desmond Tutu-Gerrit Brand Prize for debut work.
