This book is conceived as an academic manual designed to support the understanding and application of key principles in chemical reactor design for homogeneous reaction systems, using MATLAB as the main computational tool. Each chapter provides a brief theoretical introduction that contextualizes the step-by-step solved problems, all implemented in MATLAB to bridge theory with practical computation. The manual emphasizes problem-based learning to reinforce core concepts in reactor analysis and design. The text progresses from foundational topics—such as mass balances, residence time distributions, and kinetic modelling—to more advanced analytical and graphical methods used in continuous and batch reactor design. Throughout the book, clear examples illustrate how MATLAB can be employed to visualize dynamic behavior, evaluate reactor performance, and solve nonlinear equations commonly encountered in reactor engineering.Intended for students and professionals alike, this book offers a rigorous yet accessible pathway to mastering homogeneous reactor design, combining analytical insight with the computational power of MATLAB to enhance both conceptual understanding and practical skills.
