Give leaders the knowledge they need to support and increase the wellness of the children and families in their programme. This two-hour training introduces the aspects of leadership covered in the Healthy Children, Healthy Lives book that are used to plan and implement program improvements and that contribute to children’s wellness. Sharon Bergen is the executive director of the Minnesota Association for the Education of Young Children and the Minnesota School-Age Care Alliance, as well as the author of Best Practices for Training Early Childhood Professionals. She is an experienced and active trainer with years of experience working in a wide range of early childhood and school-age programs. She holds a master's degree in early childhood education and is currently finishing her PhD for training and performance improvement.Rachel Robertson, MA, is the director of education and development at Bright Horizons. She has more than twenty years of experience in the education field and has served as a professional development and education quality consultant, classroom teacher, centre director, and quality and training manager. She is the author of numerous early childhood articles and presents professional development seminars at national conferences. Rachel holds a master's degree in early childhood education.
