Mae Douglas yr arth frown yn mynd i bob math o drybini wrth chwilio am gwtsh. Yn gyntaf mae’n cwtshio rhywbeth sy’n rhy drwm, yna fe â at goeden â rhusgl garw. Ar ei daith ddoniol mae’n darganfod nad yw defaid yn gwtshlyd iawn, a bod tylluanod yn greaduriaid blin. O’r diwedd mae cwningen yn cynnig help iddo, ac yn ei dywys at geg ogof dywyll. Pwy all fod yn cysgu yn yr ogof? Mae ei llais yn gyfarwydd ... Ei fam sydd yno'n barod i roi’r cwtsh gorau yn y byd iddo. Dilynir y stori gan dudalen o luniau doniol iawn. Mae’r llyfr yn ddwyieithog, gyda’r testun Saesneg yn ymddangos o dan y Gymraeg mewn ffont lai. Byddwch yn ofalus os am ddefnyddio’r llyfr i ddysgu Cymraeg, oherwydd dyw’r cyfieithiad ddim bob amser yn llythrennol!

***********************
Douglas the brown bear gets into all sorts of scrapes on his quest for a hug. First of all he tries to hug something too big, then a tree that gives him splinters. In his funny search he discovers that sheep are not very huggable, and that owls can be bad-tempered creatures. At last a rabbit offers him help, and leads him to the mouth of a dark cave. Who could be sleeping in it? Something feels familiar... Will Douglas get a hug? It is his mother, ready to give him the best hug in the world.
A page full of amusing pictures follows the story. The book is bilingual, with the English text appearing underneath the Welsh, in a smaller font. Be careful, though, if you want to use the book to learn Welsh, as the translation is not always literal!
