Prioritising depth over breadth, Joshua writes almost exclusively about Vietnam, a country he has lived in (on and off) for 15 years. He studied Linguistics and Southeast Asian Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, where he specialised in Vietnam and Indonesia. He also has an MSc from the University of Glasgow in Sustainable Tourism, where his research focus was on attitudes to sustainable tourism.
